David Blinn,
Grants Specialist

David Blinn (he/him), Grants Specialist, joined YES in January 2024. A former high school English teacher, David holds an M.A. in Education from Stanford University, and he has over a decade of experience working in secondary education. Prior to joining YES, David managed grants, fundraising, and communications at Waterside Workshops in Berkeley, where he also regularly co-led biking and camping trips for middle and high school youth. In his spare time, David is an avid hiker, backpacker, and runner. Although he is no longer a classroom teacher, David is a certified bicycle instructor, and he loves to ride his bike around the East Bay with his partner and friends.
